Patches Reveals Business Competition Prizes for 2012

 

 

Media prizes for the Scarecrow Invasion Business Competition have been announced. There is one media prize for each of the categories as well as a keeper plaque and winner plaque to be displayed by the business for the next year. The Best of the Best, Patches, will be awarded to the business who is chosen to be the best display from the winners of each category.

The Countdown has begun. One month from today is the Pre-parade, Parade and Family Festival. Yea!

Meaford Downtown Decorating Starts Sept. 10th

The Meaford Scarecrow Invasion Decorating Committee has set the date! September 10th the invasion begins with orange bows, corn stalks and scarecrows starting to appear in the downtown. Join the fun and decorate your business. In the BIA you are automatically registered if you are decorated. For the Greater Meaford Area, Agricultural businesses and Community organizations e-mail Mary (marysolomon@rogers.com) with your location and the judges will have you on their list. Judging will be September 24 and 25, 2012. If you want your business included on the Scarecrow Journey register by September 21. Check out some of the resources on this blog to help you!

Save the Date

The Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival Business Competition has set the date for this year's judging. Judging will start September 24. The entry forms deadline is September 21. Businesses in the BIA will not need to submit an entry form - if you are decorated the judges will be judging. For the rest of the municipality we will have an on-line registration as well as paper, fax or e-mail. More information on registration soon.If you like to decorate to a theme, the Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival Decorating Committee is decorating areas in the municipality based on "Scarecrows love Fairy Tales". It is not necessary to decorate to the theme as long as scarecrows are part of the display.See the pages section Categories, Criteria and Prizes to learn more about the competition.
